SANTO DOMINGO- Cristina Alba de Bogaert represents one of the leaders in the real estate sector, who has set out to build a legacy and leave her mark on the industry, creating spaces where women in real estate can exchange business and mutually enrich one another.
This dynamic Dominican woman, a member of the Múdate staff, has been involved in the real estate field for 25 years, specializing in rentals and sales in the National District. She is the mother of Alberto José, 19, and Álvaro José, 12. In commemoration of International Women's Day yesterday, we share her perspective on the role of women in Dominican society.
1– What does it mean to you to be a woman?
It encompasses many elements, but basically, being a woman is about feeling fulfilled, the wonderful power of motherhood, the power to inspire and be a light for my family, friends, and loved ones.
2- What are the main roles you have as a woman?
The role of being a mother, wife, businesswoman
3- How do you divide your time between all your roles?
I am passionate about each of them, so my time is quite well complemented by my work; I am in control of my time and I prioritize what is important.
4- What do you think of women in real estate?
We women who belong to this beautiful profession are powerful, fearless, and very valuable women who have chosen a dignified profession that will make a great economic contribution to our lives
5-How do you think society treats women?
We women in today's society have equality. We strongly embrace our responsibilities and play important roles within the economy and society
6- Do you think we have progressed as a society towards the female role?
Absolutely yes, women are an essential part of every society worldwide
7- There are many women in the sector, but many men in leadership positions. What do you think about that?
We are the majority in the real estate sector. Every day there are more companies led by women. I think it's not like before when men were in charge; now women are leaders and share that leadership with men.

9- Do you observe discrimination against women in the sector?
The real estate sector is mostly represented by women, and we perform in an exemplary manner. There is equality and respect between both genders.
